About
Steve
I started HyperFocus because I kept seeing the same pattern: companies investing in AI tools but getting a fraction of the value because their delivery processes were designed for a pre-AI world. The problem isn't the technology — it's that the workflows, handoffs, and coordination patterns haven't changed to match what's now possible.
My background spans operations leadership, product delivery, and organizational design across growth-stage and scaling companies. I've led teams through the messy middle of transformation — the phase where new capabilities exist but the processes to use them haven't caught up yet.
I don't believe in AI adoption for its own sake. I believe in understanding how your specific teams actually deliver, where the bottlenecks and handoffs live, and redesigning those workflows around AI capabilities your people will actually use — not just tolerate.
The name "HyperFocus" reflects the approach: deep, singular attention on the structural root causes of slow delivery, rather than spreading thin across tool demos and generic training.
Principles
What I Believe
Process Shapes Outcomes
The right AI-native workflow doesn't constrain teams — it frees them to focus on judgment and creativity while AI handles synthesis and coordination.
Visibility Replaces Meetings
When progress, risks, and context are visible in real time, teams make better decisions and move faster without waiting for the next standup.
Adoption Beats Availability
Having AI tools available means nothing if teams aren't using them daily. The measure of a good AI strategy is what changes in practice.
Culture Before Technology
The best AI integration respects how your people actually work. Adoption that fits the culture sticks; adoption imposed from above doesn't.
